An actor, director, teacher, and coach, Joseph Kevin Coles graduated cum laude from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. He has trained extensively with Master Teacher James Tripp and Associate Head of Acting Alice Saltzman. His past theatrical roles include Cripple Billy in The Cripple of Inishmaan (dir. Patrick Vassel), Martin Marcus in The Ruby Sunrise (dir. John Gould Rubin), Symperson in Engaged (dir. Aaron Rossini), Ernest Beavers in Time and the Conways (dir. Katherine M. Carter), Wayne Langhorn in Censored on Final Approach (dir. John Gould Rubin), and Judge Littlefield/Caiaphas the Elder/St. Matthew in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot (dir. Connor Hillman). He is the Co-Founding Artistic Director of Best Intentions Theater Company. Daylight is the seventh world-premier he has directed for the Best Intentions. In addition to directing and acting throughout the city, Joseph also works as an acting coach, and as the Administrative Coordinator at his alma mater, The Stella Adler Studio of Acting.
